In Transit: Pause for a Moment

Picture it.

It’s a sunny day and you are flying home from a trip. On a layover, you find yourself in an airport lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s mid-afternoon and the terminal is quiet. You have 4 hours before your next flight. You sit, facing out, with a view of the tarmac and planes, with blue skies and sunshine in your eyes.

You order a glass of wine and open your laptop. There is time - to work, to read, to think, to be. There are no expectations. There is only you, where you are.

You think briefly about where you have been and where you are going, but mostly you just sit. Your life is on pause.

You are in transit.

Relish it.
